 A native of California, came into radio after a 4 year stint in the Air Force.  He began at  KIIZ in Killeen Texas, he was hired as a P/T which lasted three weeks! He was then promoted to the morning show. where he dominated the ratings, with the number one morning show in the central Texas area for 2 years! With that success came a short lived stint in Shreveport, Louisiana at KMJJ. The opportunity to become a Program Director moved him back to the central Texas area where he programmed the number 1 station in the market for the next 10 years. While also helming the dominant morning show. This success caused the industry to award him the Billboard Local Air Talent of the Year award, Program Director of the Year award, as well as numerous nominations for Radio and Records magazine, and the prestigious Programmers Coalition Station of the Year award.  Mychal's radio success comes naturally to him, he comes from a radio family! His mother co-hosted a morning show  in Seattle; sister De De is heard weekdays as co-host of the nationally syndicated Doug Banks & De De Maguire Show, Brother David is holding down a Midday slot in San Antonio, and Sister Teresa is in New London, CT.

Mychal also had a bit role in the cult classic Motion Picture "Office Space"
