For those who have listened to me long enough, you know my family’s story involving Gordon McKernan.
I could strongly make the case that Gordon is one of the most famous people in Louisiana. You can’t deny that everyone knows who he is, and at one time, he was my daughter’s celebrity crush. In fact, for one birthday years ago, she didn’t want anything except for Gordon McKernan to come to her birthday party.
Since then, I’ve been a fan of Gordon McKernan and more importantly, I’m a fan of the way he takes care of folks all across Louisiana.
This past weekend, McKernan was in Shreveport (as well as nine other Louisiana cities) giving away free bikes to little ones who couldn’t afford one otherwise. When the dust settled, Gordon McKernan ended up giving away over 420 bikes!
Such a super cool move from McKernan and his team, job well done!
